Brief Introduction

Professor Arnie Purushotham is Director of the Integrated Cancer Centre (ICC) and Head of Research Oncology at King's College London. He is also a Consultant Surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas'.
 
He was previously Director of Breast Services at Addenbrooke's NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge and, before that, Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Surgeon at the University of Glasgow and Western Infirmary.His research interests include:

  • Translational studies relating to molecular profiling in breast cancer with a view to tailoring therapy.
  • Studies into stem/progenitor cells in breast cancer.
  • Physiological studies to understand breast cancer-related lymphoedema.
  • Terahertz in breast cancer
  • Cancer outcomes
