Currently I am a whole time Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in Havering, Romford, Essex. Previously, I was a part-time Senior Lecturer and Honourary Consultant at the London Hospital from 1980-89 and also worked part-time both in Havering CFCS and as a Consultant at St. Charles Youth Treatment Centre, which dealt with the most disturbed and difficult adolescents in the country. I was the Medical Director of BHB Community Health Trust from 1993 to 2001. Between 2001 - 2005, I was initially the Clinical Tutor for the Warley/Mascalls Park Rotation and was later also the College Tutor for UCL. I was previously an external examiner for Art Therapists at Goldsmiths College and also chaired a number of committees to do with R&D, audit, etc. I have also extensively lectured both locally and nationally on a variety of issues to do with adolescent disorders and ADHD.
